Nick Hannon posted his photographs online while working as a photographer in Los Angeles last summer. Hannon first invested in IMAGE4.com to sell digital photos on social networking sites. The company declared bankruptcy in August 2010, and he began working for Orbit Imaging in the Netherlands. Orbit Imaging took full advantage of the chance to photograph international shipping containers and deliver the digital images to clients and enterprises overseas.
At that time, deliveries from overseas shipping companies to clients in North America totaled almost $500 billion. International shipping companies permitted anybody to photograph their containers, and they afterwards sold copies of the images at a reasonable price.
